Whats the difference between PCR vs Rapid tests?

Science Lab

PCR

PCR tests, which is an abbreviation for polymerase chain reaction (PCR), are done orally or through a nasal swab and detect the DNA of the virus. It takes a longer time for you to get your results for this test since your sample is taken to a laboratory to get processed. The results of this test can tell you if you currently have the virus or if you have been exposed to the virus
